Bodum Arabica Thermal French Press

First to recommend

Description

My Bodum French Press is amazing, and I love to use it every morning. I had no idea it could get better. But leave it to them to improve their classic press. This one has double walled stainless steel insulation, so it keeps your freshly pressed coffee hot for up to 2 hours. I do have to say that my coffee HAS to be steaming hot for me to enjoy it. So this would help me out a lot! And if you haven't tried French Pressed coffee yet, you're in for a very pleasant surprise.

Utensil Pot Clip

First to recommend

Description

This is such a great kitchen gadget. The clip on the bottom affixes to the side of any pot or pan, and the hooked top holds your utensil while in between stirs or tasting, keeping your counters clean and bypassing that whole, "Where do I put the saucey spoon now?" dilemma.

Extendable Egg Separator

First to recommend

Description

I like to eat egg whites in the morning and sometimes it gets a little hard to separate them by hand over the pan. This would make it much more easier, and it's extendable so no matter what size cup you're working over, the egg separator will still rest tightly. Great for baking.

MIU Stainless-Steel 15-Inch Magnetic Knife Storage Bar

First to recommend

Description

Those magnetic knife bars always look so cool in the movies. I would love to actually have one in my house. If I were to indulge, this would be the one for me. It is reported to have the perfect level of magnetic strength - whereas others have poor reviews of it being too strong or too weak. The bar will hold 6 - 8 knives, and keep you from having to rustle through that knife drawer every time you're cooking!

Flip Top Bed Tray

First to recommend

Description

Every kitchen needs to have a bed tray so when that urge comes to make someone "Breakfast in bed", there are absolutely no obstacles. Yes, I have one, and make sure to tell all of my friends about it and where it is, just in case the idea strikes them and they want to act on it. This is also nice because the top flips up at an angle, so it can be used as a reading or computer base! Perfect for watching movies on your laptop in bed.

Cast Iron Bravera Frying Pan

First to recommend

Description

I can't believe IKEA has cast iron pans for $9.99! Cast iron is the BEST option. Those nonstick frying pans (Teflon and the like) are so bad for you - the offgas nasty plastic chemicals into everything you cook in them. And, once scratched, the aluminum underneath gets into your food which is toxic, as well. Cooking with cast iron, however, nixes any chance of toxicity and even adds a little bit of iron to your food. Even heating, as well. Go get one!

Recycled Paper Mat Bag

First to recommend

Description

These are the coolest mat bags I've seen yet. They are made from brightly colored strips of recycled paper! It's super durable and can hold a mat, two blocks and a strap comfortable. It has a full length zipper along the top and is lined with cotton muslin. Just be sure not to wash it. Only spot clean - or your recycled paper mat could go back to its roots.

Egg Poacher--Williams-Sonoma

2 people recommended this item

Description

I love this poacher. It's so easy to use, and makes really good poached eggs. You put some water in the bottom of the pan, crack one egg into each holder, and wait for your desired consistency to be reached. I usually pop some sourdough wheat toast in the toaster while the are poaching, spread some butter on top, and add some sliced tomatoes and fresh cracked pepper. A divine breakfast in your own home! Great gift for any avid egg eater, as well.
