Dirty Librarian Chains

Description

Raw and messy, Dirty Librarian's Chain necklaces would be the perfect accessory for, oh, sweaty activities that take place against a wall. Or over a table.

Custom Hidden Passageways

First to recommend

3 people recommended this item

Description

Growing up with books like The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, I became obsessed with the lure of secret passageways in houses.

Now there is a company that actually designs such things- bookcases with a secret "book" that acts as a lever, fireplaces with candleabras that, when pulled, reveal a hidden room behind them. Oh my GOD do I find that sexy.

The Creative Engineering team will work with you to custom design just about any configuration of hidden passageways for your home you can think of. Alternately, they have some preconfigured options like dressers with swing out hidden passageways.

Options like fingerprint scanners and other super-cool fantasy faire are all on the menu.

I WANT ONE!!!!!

Customizable, Flashing Neon Mirrors

First to recommend

Description

Mirror, mirror on the wall.... who is the naughtiest one of all?

The ability to choose your own graphics and text for the variety of customizable mirrors offered here allows you to be shy and demure or wild as hell.

There is also a function enabling you to choose no light, flashing or solid.

I would love to put the one pictured outside, grab a chair and a cocktail and just watch the neighbors reactions. Now that would be a fine time.

Wow. Cool. Wow.

You can draw attention to an event or promotion with cloudlike creations from Flogos, a new division of Snowmasters. Helium-injected biodegradable soap foam forced through a stencil by a generator results in high-flying designs that float thousands of feet into the sky—roughly one design every 15 seconds. Standard shapes (stars, triangles, circles) start at about $2,500 for eight hours. Custom designs are an additional $500. —Mark Mavrigian of BizBash

Flogos are designed to last for as long as their visual impact is needed. Specific formulations are available to provide a life expectancy of a few minutes to an hour or so. This also greatly depends on amospheric conditions such as wind direction and speed.

They can travel 20-30 miles and go as high as 20,000 thousand feet. They travel slow so they are very visible for a long time.

Zoe Heels by Christian Werner

First to recommend

Description

If these were my feet, I would take them to the nearest hotel room.

__________________________________________________
German industrial designer Christian Werner spent the large part of his career conceptualizing and designing shoe shelves that would display shoes in the best possible light.

However, what was to be a routine shopping trip in Amsterdam on a fine day in 2006 birthed an inspiration and desire in Werner to try his hand at designing shoes.

His idea was simple enough: remove the bulk of the material in a normal wedge heel, leaving only the silhouette, since it’s the wedge’s silhouette that is responsible for the shoe’s allure.

The challenge, therefore, was to find a material that can support the weight of the wearer. Werner experimented on aluminium, first sketching out a cardboard model, and then a polished aluminium prototype, and the Zoe was born.

At six inches tall, Werner’s “hollowed out” wedge Zoe heels look like a tall order for any woman to walk in, but the open aluminium frame makes the wedges look elegant and light on the feet.

And lest you still have any lingering doubts, the leather straps that warp around your feet and ankles not only provide additional safety, they also make you feel incredibly sexy. The price for a pair of these limited edition Zoe heels? 2,500 Euros.

Glass Coffee Table Foosball

The removable glass top makes this stylish game do double duty as a coffee table. Now if it could give me a massage and make me a sandwich it might be worth the stiff price tag....

Magic Message Mirror

Description

Oh so cool. So very, very cool.

The nutshell version? You wire this portrait into your existing home security system. It has the appearance of a mirror UNTIL it is triggered by one of the custom events you have programmed it to respond to. Then, the mystical apparition appears a la Snow White, informing you via one of dozens of phrases you have personally chosen what specific event has just occured. ie "There is someone approaching the house from the driveway."

When it comes to things that occupy a place on my Uber Wish List, it is so tempting to put this near the top.

Nikon D90 Digital Pictures AND Video

4 people recommended this item

Description

I'm already in love with the D90. Coming from a D70, the D90 is quicker, has amazing autofocus and manual controls, better white balance sensors and stability and who can complain about the video taking aspects. And of course the bonus of being able to use all of your older dslr Nikon lenses with it.
