About this list:

These are the best up-coming items. The things I'd die to have at this moment. I find them all over the web, and in stores, and sometimes from friends and the artists themselves. I love Delight.com and hope that one of these items will be featured there!

Qualifications:

I shop all over L.A. and have a keen eye for design.

[Eva Solo] garlic press

4 people recommended this item

Description

I love organic designs, the kind that seem so natural it blends right in with the environment. This garlic press is a case in point. It not only mimics the garlic clove, but it also combines press and container in one! When design is this good, how can you say no?

webble :: new kind of foot rest

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

The most fun you can have in the office while doing your work. This fun new foot rest allows you to MOVE while you are stationary, making those big decisions with the exec. Seems like a surf board for the office!

Plus, the company's has done their homework on the health benefits of motion, especially leg and foot motion whilst the rest of the body is stationary. I'm thinking one thing and one thing only: can I carry this on those long-haul flights??

Here's what they have to say about themselves:

"When we think about wellness and the webble™, we are encouraged by the decades of research that unambiguously points to the physiological benefits of increased leg activity while seated. That said, for us wellness in the workplace means a lot more. it means connecting with the emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of well-being. After all, the workplace is where so many of us increasingly spend the vast majority of our waking hours. And it is this simple fact - for better or for worse - that has fueled us to create the webble™,the first of a new genre of workplace wellness products designed to shine new light on your office experience."

Description

It seems I'm in love with all things Japanese these days. But this belt especially. It is made from tatami fabric and reminds of the days when I slept in Kyoto in ryokans.

St. Kilda Jewelry - Detail

First to recommend

Description

I have this ring. It reminds me of the stacke love piece by Robert Indiana. But this is far more delicate and wearable. Most people have to really look to see the lettering. St. Kilda's also has a Peace necklace which, at first glance, appears to be nothing more than random swirls. For me, it is a way to wear my message without being too in-your-face about it.

Here's the some more info on the original LOVE art piece:

"The iconography first appeared in a series of poems originally written in 1958, in which Indiana stacked LO and VE on top of one another. The first LOVE sculpture was carved out of a solid block of aluminum, highly unpolished, that the pop artist had made for a show at the Stable Gallery in 1966. The idea for the sculptural piece originated from a visit to a Christian Science church in Indianapolis, where Robert was taken by an adorned banner that read "GOD is LOVE." He then created a painting for an exhibition held in what was formerly a Christian Science church. It depicted the reverse of the previous banner, stating "LOVE is GOD."" (via Ethel)

Traci Moyo Designs

Description

These rose earrings and companion necklace look fantastic on. They're light-weight, airy, and above all, pretty. I have a slight obsession with necklaces right now, and the rose necklace by Traci Moyo is my current fav.
