Drink one of these before and after a long airplane ride and you will do a lot to prevent catching a cold (I read somewhere that approximately 15% of travellers report getting sick after each plane ride of longer than 3 hours. Yuck!!!). Must-have for the pro-active healthy biz (and pleasure) traveller. Gives you energy too.
They are also great at warding off colds if you have toddlers. Little kids play in the dirt and have runny nose ALL THE TIME and they are very effective germ vecots for parents. When I feel like I might get sick from some bug going around the playground, I drink one of these and am good as gold. (via Jess)

Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Mouse

Description
This is one bad-ass mouse. It does everything and is fully programmable. I particulalry like the SmartShift which can tell what sort of scrolling I should use (either incremental or free-spinning). Plus it is just very cool-looking. If Darth Vader had a mouse and lost some of his late 70's hard edges in favor of a more sleek look, this would be the mouse for him. I can't believe I went so long just using the trackpad on my powerbook! :-/ (via notcot)

Description
These guys have built a fantastic online record label that sources some simply awesome dance music. I think their electronica, trance, and deep house artists are especially strong. I highly recommend you subscribe to the podcast as it will give you a good smapler of what they offer and you can then click-thru to buy the tracks.
I love listening to this stuff when I am grinding out an enduro work-out, whether that be running, biking, at the climbing wall. Also good for keeping my energy and focus when working and I need to be in my own world to concentrate

The Paradox of Choice: Why More Is Less by Barry Schwarz

Description
The Paradox of Choice is a must-read introduction to decision theory and consumer behavior/psychology. We live in a world of approximately 60 millions consumer skus. This amount of overchoice can be paralyzing and negatively impact both consumers and businesses trying to serve them. Schwarz does a great job of breaking down the problem and showing some potential paths forward. Highly recommended if you want to grok how we think about making decisions.

The Week
3 people recommended this item
Description
This is a must-read magazine: smart, balanced, and easily-grokked. The Week is an overview of what happened the prior week (hence the name) and it tends to focus mostly on politics, foreign policy, and biz/econ, though they have some good lifestyle coverage too. The Week is one of the fastest, most comprehensive ways to keep on top of what is happening. The Week summarizes what other mainstream media pubs are saying so you get a left/right/center POV on the issues w/out having to wade thru a ton of reading. Great when you are super time-constrained and don't want your worldview to become too myopic. (via LyndaDelight)

Audible.com

Description
Audible.com is a great resource for "books on tape" (for lack of a better term). I use Audible mostly for business and non-fiction books as they don't require much imagination. For fiction books, I tend to read them as I like to use my imagination while I read. Audible has plans that start at $9.95 on up to $22.95. Audible is actually a good deal when you consider you might pay over $20.00 for a new book at a traditional brick and mortar store, when you can actually get the book from Audible for around $15.00.
