Joyva Sesame Tahini

First to recommend

Description

Since hummus can be expensive, I like to make my own. So I use Joyva tahini and dried chick peas/ garbanzo beans that I soak over night. A little sea salt, a clove of garlic, some sesame oil and lemon juice. Done. (via Food Service Direct)

Heinz White Vinegar

Description

White vinegar is always in my cabinet, and I always need it at the most random time. Say, if I'm inspired by something to make a new dish. Or if I decide I want to make collard greens. Or for cleaning. Its also something I use as a salt substitute when cooking. (via BuytheCase.net)

I really like Eden brand soy sauce. Its a brand I trust and have been using for a long time. You can buy various organic and low sodium sauces from them. And its macrobiotic if you're intersted. (via Eden Foods)

Dried Shiitake Mushrooms

First to recommend

Description

These can be a little price. Around $8 a bag. But I like to get them every know and then when I can afford it. They're good in soups and keep longer than fresh mushrooms in the fridge. THey're packed with niacin, fiber, vitamin D, and are fat and sodium free. (via Eden Foods)

Another left over from my macro days. This vinegar isn't as strong as most vinegars. Good salt substitute and great for flavoring soups or vegetables. (via Eden Foods)
