About this list:

....menopause will be here pretty damn quick.~~~~ I'm pushing 40. Newly divorced. Time to claim my right to wear clothes I'm too old for and go to clubs I look ridiculous at like all good mid-life crisis goers before me. After all, if it was so wrong would they make bras that lift and separate and thus allow ya to do it? Noooooo. I don't think sooooo. That's God's way of saying, "You go girl." ~~~~This list helps me pretend I know what the hell I'm listening to when I'm out.

Qualifications:

Until John Taylor marries me, I have time to research this.

Description

I read 'em and weep. Or laugh. Or learn. Or at the very least dream a little dream. I simply love books.

Thus I'm quite taken with this Bookshelf Ipod Touch Skin. Colorful, interesting and practical to boot. Lovely little thing.

Check out X-treme Geek's other style options for Gelaskins too. Nice stuff.

Definitely one of the top online sites for mp3/video players that you can load onto your blog. It distinguishes itself most by its awesome selection of skins.

Free. Free is good.

Clever, clever. The vinyl spins with the speed of a second hand and the radio dial on the left shows the time.

Until I figure out where I can fit the Urban Outfitter's record shop mural, pouting will ensue. Luckily, a full tantrum was averted when I found this. It will keep me company in the meantime.

Angus Young Action Figure

Description

Ok, there is a whole personal thing that goes along with this that I won't get into about how every year for the past decade I've found myself daydreaming about being at this concert (in the front row) when Angus gets the stomach flu. The band's manager slips out from behind the curtain and walks up to whisper something in my ear. My friends are all shocked, having no idea I know the band. I disappear only to reappear moments later onstage in thigh high boots and holding a guitar. There is also something involving a backflip that is perfectly timed to the music. But like I said, I'm not getting into that here.

One of the coolest music sites I've come across to date. It allows you to roam around and "discover" bands you like- then help to finance them. If you're in a band, you can sell "shares" to get to the $50,000 goal and record a professional album. Very nicely done site. Great premise, great execution.

Invisible Speakers

Description

Sonance has come out with a fantastic invisible speaker- labelling it the world's first- that all but disappears into its environs. The subtlety of design is music to my ears.

From the site:
The Sound Advance® SA2C, the world's first invisible in-wall loudspeaker, is a two-way, full range planar loudspeaker system designed for use in commercial installations (for residential installations we recommend the SA2 invisible speaker). Proprietary structural and engineering features make it possible to invisibly install the SA2C in almost any standard wood/metal stud wall or ceiling. The speaker essentially becomes an integral part of the wall or ceiling surface.
