Kap Bambino - Red Sign

First to recommend

Description

While everyone else was busy looking at the moon, waiting for drops of water to emerge, Kap Bambino was busy stealing from the Euro history of punk-tronica . Now if you want to dance like a air powered wind puppet you'll have to listen to them. Why? Because.

Melodious Bhajans: Tripti Mukherjee

First to recommend

Description

Tripti Mukherjee presents beautiful Bhajans (Hindu devotional songs) on this Biswas recording. The dreamy sound of the bansuri (wooden flute) works in contrast to Ringo "like" back-beat rhythm of the tabla, the result is an intoxicating sound which makes me want to dance in my sleep.

Albums by Lole y Manuel

Description

It was many years ago--I could almost say it was a former life, but it was this life--I was living in Norway at the time listening to Nick Cave and The Bulgarian National Women's Choir, and so on, then out of the blue I came to know the music of Lole y Manuel and I finally felt that I'd discovered music that gave voice to the sensation I felt when in love.

I've lived with these songs for years, I guess what I like most is how well they smooth the edges of one's personal transitions.

Description

Within the realm of love, hope, devotion, and heartbreak are the three fundamental elements which effect the human hart. Sade's fragile vocals and sensual and emotive instrumentation evokes the tender qualities of love and the bittersweet elements which play upon our emotions. I've enjoyed the careful unfolding of each of Sade's albums, always believing that the newest release is better than the last, "Love's Rock" has been at the top of my Sade play list for some time. It's a beautifully mature and open collection of contemporary torch/love songs, and instant classics which are so personal in feeling that they often feel as if they were written about your life.
