Earth to Table: Seasonal Recipes from an Organic Farm by Jeff Crump and Bettina Schormann
First to recommend
Description
Think local, think organic and think tasty. This is a phenomenal cookbook that embraces all of those things and will have you thinking about what to eat that doesn't come from a styrofoam container, can or box. Jeff Crump and Bettina Schormann offer simple, delicious recipes using what's in season with an eye on what might be available at the farmer's market. Every recipe is delicious and there's something for every diet and every taste bud. I can't recommend this book enough!

The Doorbells of Florence by Andrew Losowsky

Description
I love giving cool, hard-to-find, covetable books as gifts. This is one of them.
From the website: "These alluring photographs of doorbell panels in Florence, Italy, inspired stories that imagine the lives of the people who dwell at each address. Charming, whimsical, and elegant, each story is a perfect match for its photo, balancing the antique, old-world appeal of Florence and the contemporary, gritty realities of a modern city. The photos lay bare a rarely observed side of Florence and the stories capture the spirit of peeking inside the secrets, habits, and desires of a city's inhabitants. Travelers, lovers of Italy, and imaginative wanderers will delight in this beautiful collection, which features hand-drawn lettering and a silk-screened cover."
