Description

ABC Carpet & Home is a juggernaut in the world of home decor with flair. Floor upon floor of gifts, housewares, jewelry and all things wonderful from all over the world. You will find great items for every room in your home and every mood you can imagine yourself in. The items are truly unique - this is the place to go if you are tired of seeing the same old stuff everywhere. Keep in mind that unique comes at a price... that doesnt mean you wont find lots of affordable small trinkets but you'll find many treasures priced accordingly. You'll encounter beautiful hand made porcelain for well over $100 a piece to authentic oriental rugs that cost as much as a luxury car!

ABC Carpet & Home has been around forever and has continued to stay on top of design trends. Quality, sustainability and environmental responsibilty seem to be taken as seriously as the latest fashions!

ABC Carpet & Home is located in Union Square.

Le Pain Quotidien NYC

First to recommend

Description

Though I was a little disappointed when I learned that this lovely establishment is an international chain, it has not lost enoug luster for me to stop endulging on fresh bread and cheese!

My first visit to Le Pain Quotidien was during a grueling business trip. We were trolling around the Union Square area when our fearless leader corralled us through the doors. What a treat for the weary! We all ordered fresh bread, a couple of cheese plates and some wine. All absolutely yummy! The dining philosophy is that everyone sits at one very long table. Its unique and strange at first but you'll warm up to it as you tear an other piece of bread!

There are several locations throughout city... plan your expedition around them!
