I can't help but think that these would be soooo perfect for entertaining this summer. These lemon- and orange-glazed stoneware plates are textured with a citrus slice design and there's no sign of melamine anywhere! They're fun but also grown-up! And hey... what's summer without a citrus splash here and there. :)

Now this is definitely a whale of a pitcher! If not just for pouring this would make a sensational piece for show. I am so in love with its playful design.

amenity cove grey + espresso hemp/organic cotton runner

Description
I've always loved the organic bedding from Amenity Home but lately I've been eyeing table linens for our new dining room. Our dining furniture is teak so I really appreciate the stark contrast of whites and creams that would compliment our vintage furniture. Much like the current textiles featured in our home this one includes elements of nature and is also organic. Infact, this table runner is printed by hand with non-toxic, water-based, eco-friendly inks on a premium fabric made from hemp and blended with organic cotton. I cannot wait until I can include this in our home.

I was thinking about buying a set of salad spoons (hands) from a popular British chefette but I now I think I'd rather have these! They're made from 100% organically-grown bamboo and produced by a company that promote fair labor practices and environmental protection. Not only do they look neat but you can also feel good about keeping them in your kitchen. The next time you entertain these would be perfect at the table! My mother-in-law's birthday is coming up and these will definitely make the list.

I'm always on the lookout for new and interesting ceramics to add to my kitchen/dining collection and these really caught my eye. Not only are the designs gorgeous, but holy cow are they big! These are big "Seinfeld-sized" cereal bowls, giant ramen bowls, and hey - they're microwave and dishwasher safe! If only I had more room in my suitcase I would have bought them all!

Buffet Tray by Jonas Wangsten

Description
For your next Christmas party or function you might want to consider getting one of these for yourself and to gift several of your friends with. I think some of the best and trendiest buffets are those that are slightly more rustic with that real "self-serve" feel. This wonderful oak tray not only gives you that opportunity, but you also have the option for setting the holiday atmosphere with candlelight. In Scandinavia we light one candle (of 4) each Sunday before Christmas. Whether or not you celebrate advent this is a great serving tray with that added holiday touch. The light stand is also adjustable and can be moved along the tray.

Saffron bun tray by Ulrika & Wiktoria designers AB for Designersab

Description
One of my latest things is picking up trays and tins for our new kitchen. These wonder bun trays might not be so appealing for some, but for us in Scandinavia these are too perfect for Christmas. They feature lussebullar/lusseboller (Swedish/Norwegian) which are a type of bread/bun we make at Christmas specifically for Santa Lucia day. (Saint Lucy day Dec.13) The colours and retro-style design would compliment any kitchen and would make a great gift for the hostess in your family. It also says "God Jul" which means Merry Christmas and the back features the recipe in both Swedish and English if you wish to make these buns.

If it weren't for my son I might not have a rational reason for using these! The silicone handles lock together for easy storage and for play. My son's traditional Norwegian "matpakke" (lunchbox) just became alot more interesting. My only fear is that they'll become so popular that he'll end up losing them. :(
