I love the vintage wallpaper used for these wall decals. The animal shapes are definitely some of my favorites. Great for nurseries too.

One of my favorite topics - I call it the Second Skin. It seems our wallpaper heritage has taken a life of its own recently... From wall decals to washer-dryer appliques to computers and ipods. It's great manufacturers are responding to people's desire to create some sense of individuality, even if it is kinda mass produced. (I know, oxymoron.)

personalized wall decals

Description
Man these people are on top of their game! They make personalized wall decals - you choose what it says, the color, and the size, and they send it to you. Easy to apply, these would look great above your bed, your fireplace...you name it! This design is already so hip, though, I don't know why you'd want it to say anything else. : )

Interesting new concept. It's not a sticker or seal, so there's no adhesive material. It is self-clinging film that can be removed and re-applied over and over again with leaving behind glue residue. If you're sensitive about your ipod, maybe this is a good solution.

I love it this company calls themselves "Ugly Home" when in fact, all the stuff they produce are absolutely beautiful. They make some of the most creative wall decals in the market. And a very wide breadth of style too.

dahlias wall decals

Description
Sprout Home is one of my favorite gardening stores. Of course it was not a surprise to find wall decals in their selection of decor goods. Nice ones too. I haven't seen these at other retailers. Love these brigh orange dahlias. Would look fabo on brown walls.
Vinyl with semi semi-permanent adhesive so they can be removed easily. I never thought about this, but you can clean vinyl with a sponge. Now, that's something!

Here's another set of original wall decals - wall stickers for nurseries. From JCPenney of all places. The blues and browns are quite sophisticated and will work fine as adult wall decals. It's up to you to be creative. Another great alternative for individuals on a budget. These are $29.99 for 32 stickers total (one set of 8 as shown in image). That's less than a buck a decal. Pretty good deal.

poppies wall decals

Description
These vinyl poppies were designed by Domestic in collaboration with Maison Georgette, who are known for their beautiful textile. The site does not list how many decals come for the price of $58 and what their sizes are (I don't understand why on Earth that would be left off)... Maybe it's the entire display in the image? If that is true, that's a lot of decals for $58.
Love the orange (though I am *actually* starting to get bored of orange finally! Never thought it would happen to me.)
