I have to confess, I just recently wholeheartedly converted to Apple. I can't tell you why I put it off for so long, too scared to commit I guess, but let me tell you I am so glad I finally did. In case you live under a rock, here's some damn good reasons to love Apple!

Nike+ iPod Sport Kit

If you only read one of my recommendations, then let it be this one. I can't tell you how much I enjoy my ipod sports kit. This baby can do ALMOST everything. It provides the music and if specified the motivation to meet your goals. In the meantime it's logging your distance and pace. Later, you can upload this info online and view a graphic interpretation of your workouts. The website will record your goals and the system will notify you by audio when you achieve this goal. There is also a web function that allows you to plot & save your running course and estimates the distance based on your inputs.

At the moment there is no better alternative. My own wish for this product is that Nike/Apple would create a version that also monitors your heart rate. That would truly be perfection.

iPod nano

Description

I picked up this cute little Nano recently while in the US on business, I just have to rave about how awesome it is. This little baby carries 8GBs of data, can stream video, music, and help me with my workouts (with the Nike IPOD extensions-- see other review for more info). I loaded up all my favorite workout tunes, pictures of my kids, the haircut I've been wanting, and set out for a 4 week stint in Michigan. This baby was the highlight of my trip.
