Season one was based off the novel. Season two was equally as shocking and dark. Dexter is just such a great (not as in he's a good person, but as in dynamic) that it's hard not to like this show.

I'm not afraid to admit it, i love the OC. I truly believe that this show is one that almost anyone could get behind. Normally, I would recommend and entire series. but something went wrong with this franchise. Something went catastrophically wrong. For me, there will always on only be 3 seasons and the first, well, the first is the best. I'm sure you've seen it, but if you haven't watch disc 1 and you'll be hooked.
