About this list:
I can personally attest to the genius of every show on this list.
John Adams (HBO Miniseries)

Description
I'm mildly embarrassed that I had never seen this until this weekend. However, I finally managed to block out 8 and a half hours to the cause. Frankly, it was some of the best television I've ever seen. Educational, clever -- perfect acting.
The only problem, if your American History leaves something to be desired (like mine), then depression is awoken when you realize that you don't know what it going to happen next.

30 Rock Season 1

Description
As if the Uhaul the show needs to carry around all its awards isn't enough, here I am recommending an obviously good show. But, for anyone who hasn't jumped on the bandwagon yes, do it now. You've got time to watch the first two seasons and make a perfect transition into season 3.

30 Rock: Season 2

Description
The second and equally successful season about life on 30 rock. If you're anywhere close to living on this planet, you know about the show. The question is if youo have broken down and watched it yet.
Oh, what you haven't? Hey, why don't you start here.

I just recently finished Mad Men season one. I can unequivocally say, the critics (and everybody else) is right. This is one of the the better shows I've ever seen.
Now, I just need to get going on season 2. Wish me luck.

My girlfriend (that i don't have) would want to be pop culturally relevant for Valentines day. She'd wanna get me something I'd love, but also something I'd never splurge on myself. The yearbook edition of Freak & Geeks is exactly that.

Brothers and Sisters - The Complete First Season

Description
I didn't get into this show until season three. However, Iit quickly became one of my favorite shows. It's the story of, what I'd consider, a completely normal family -- perfectly dysfunctional, but equally loving.

Brothers and Sisters - The Complete Second Season

Description
Nothing entirely too big ever happens, but the family presses on a refreshingly normal way. And what I mean by normal is, completely dysfunctional and mostly loving.

Description
Finally, one of my all-time favorite Web series' hits DVD.
Neil Patrick Harris stars as "Dr. Horrible," a video blogger who only wants two things: to get into the evil league of evil and the affection of this secret love interest.
This musical is set up in three parts, about 15 minutes each.

Tin Man (Two-Disc Collector's Edition)

Description
It's a sci-fi interpritation of the Wizard of Oz, done through a Mini Series. This slightly odd series, is fun and beautiful and captivating, all at the same time.
