Voom Denim Cap Sleeve Dress
First to recommend
Description
This dress caught my eye from the window of Coco and Delilah, a boutique on St. Marks between 1st and A. I tried it on and it fit perfectly. I then spent at least 15 minutes debating whether I should be investing in a shape this trendy when I've already got a few other sack dresses, and whether next summer this shape will look hopelessly passe. But I was mesmerized by the goofy retro wooden elephant buckle, and the fit and the placement of the pockets...it all just works so well. And so, dear reader, I am now the owner of this funny little dress.

Forever 21 Cotton Dress
First to recommend
Description
I just bought this a couple of hours ago at my favorite store for cheap shopping on 14th street: Forever 21 (followed by a trip to my other favorite place a block away, Trader Joe's). It definitely looks more expensive than it is and has great cargo-ish pockets. I'm sure when it gets warm out (IF that ever happens) I'll be wearing it a lot.

Building 10 Trench Dress

Description
I'm completely obsessed with trench dresses, but this one is by far my favorite. In the past two weeks, I've worn it to a job interview with tights and boots, on two dates with boots sans tights, and I am wearing it tomorrow to a house-cooling party (opposite of a house-warming party). It is so flattering, so appropriate for work, dates, anywhere, and can be worn layered over a long sleeve tee and boots and tights, or with chunky heel sandals. I love love love the flutter sleeves with contrasting yellow lining, and the perfect pleating under the bust that creates a flattering, nipped-in waist. I highly suggest you buy it now, since it's on sale. But if you miss out, check the Victoria's Secret site or catalogue in the next several months. I was recently freelancing in the VS offices, and one day someone from the design department appeared in my cubicle with a camera. She photographed me from several angles so they could recreate the style.

Corey Lynn Calter Super-Sexy Silk Tunic
First to recommend
Description
OK, this dress by Corey Lynn Calter is SHORT. As in, so short that a gust of wind would create a peep-show. And I'm not one to do the dress-over-jeans thing, so I suppose I will just have to wear it only when I'm in the mood for lots of looks. Ah, summer in the city: concerts in the park, caipirinhas, cat-calls. It's just something I live with ;-)
I got mine at TG-170 on the Lower East Side, but it's available all over the net.

Juicy Couture - Ruffled Dress
First to recommend
Description
I really scored today on this dress. It's brand new with the tags still on, and I only paid $70 at Tokyo 7 on East 7th street. Mine is nude (wish it was this green), but at over $100 less than the actual price, I'll live. Plus, you can do a lot of fun things with nude, and I don't mean that in a dirty way. It's so versatile for layering, accessorizing, etc. It's available not only on bergdorfgoodman.com, but also at shopbop.com, revolveclothing.com, eluxury.com and nordstrom.com. I even saw a mini version for little girls at ronrobinsoninc.com.
