Every Day is Earth Day - a list by CorporateMonkey

About this list:
We can all do a little something each day to reduce the amount of waste produced in our daily lives. Take your own reusable coffee tumbler to the local coffee shop, even purchase re-usable Slurpee Cups at 7-11 for the kids! Planting trees and purchasing carbon credits may not be for everyone, but we can all certainly reduce our footprint simply, easily, and daily. Products in this list will show you how, and why.

Ceramic Berry Baskets
First to recommend
Description
These ceramic berry baskets (and colander) remind me of the birch baskets we used to use for picking plums in my Aunt Cleo's ftont yard. I decided to pick some up for my mom to use in her kitchen, as they are simple and white, blending with both the decor in the place she lives in now, as well as the white ceramic fruit tiles that line the kitchen in the house she hopes to return to in the next few years. I love them so much that I may get some for myself as well, after I get a chance to lay my hands on them and see if they're for me.
These reusable baskets can be used for keeping ripening fruit displayed on a kitchen counter or table, lined with a decorative napkin they would be a lovely way to present breads or crackers for an appetizer. I'll be filling one with a hand-knit scarf all wrapped up like a loaf of bread for my mother's Christmas gift. Get creative!

Recycled Yoga Bag
First to recommend
Description
Hey there, yoga diva. Remember when Christy Turlington started her yoga line, but the offerings seemed just a little to expensive to really justify to your chi?
Now you can carry your mat in this Fair-Trade certified recycled yoga bag, made in the South of Asia from hand-dyed feed and rice bags. Help support the global community while toting your yoga goods in style, or use them for a towel and lotion at the pool. They're durable and unique- no two are alike!
Start going green one bit at a time, and the inner peace will find you! (via Uncommon Goods)
