I shed a tear as I make this recommendation... a tear of joy that there exists another, better Viva Pinata, a tear of sadness that I won't be buying Viva Pinata 2 anytime soon because I have what some might call a "problem" with this romancing-and-gardening digital paradise, in that "leaving the house" didn't happen much when I was involved with Viva Pinata 1.

But you, you should get this game. It is visually exquisite, and it involves exotic mating dances, flora, creatures of all stripes, spots and scales, the chiaroscuro of good-versus-evil and candy, mountains and mountains of crunchy dime-store suckers. Oh, and also shopping.

...And also, and here's the kicker, you never never ever lose. And you're never doing the wrong thing. It just goes on and on and on (and on) (for 6 hours) (I'd know).

As they say on Pinata Island, "Filled with fun... FILLED WITH FUN!"
