About this list:

To enjoy a game that is played over five consecutive days you must go well prepared. That means allowing for all contingencies. Remembering, in England, four seasons can happen in one day, or even one morning. So I carefully choose my bundle. It took a lot longer to write this than it did to stuff all the contents in two leather bag, it’s all about planning. On the day I carried three great nations on my back, in the form of their contributions to everlasting styles.

Description

Now it would be sacrilege to attend the most gentlemanly sport without an original take on the very first sporting tie invented in 1880 by Oxford University students. When rowers took of their boater hat bands and tied them around their necks four in hand to celebrate their win, they accidentally created the first sporting tie. The original colours are, black, red and gold symbolising, ‘out of darkness, through fire, into light’. I had this tie specially made by Michelsons- London tie makers since 1937.
