Description

There are some albums that you love right off the bat, and then there are the ones that take a little while to creep in, but when they do, they send hooks straight into your soul. This is one of the later albums for me. Full of organs and post-apocalyptic dread, it's not the lightest of albums around, but it's amazing. Must be played loudly over really good speakers to get the full effect.

"Paper Planes" played at at least two shows so far this fashion week, who could blame the audio coordinators that song is freaking sweet! It took me forever to find out who sang it and now that I have its going on my itunes where I will play it out completely in less than a week.

The runways were rocking to "Shadow Play" by The Killers during Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. I haven't heard the entire new Killers album yet but it is on my purchase list. I loved their first album and I am a huge fan of their new single Shadow Play. Go Brandon Flowers!

The song Karma Coma played right before the Araks show started at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. I love that song a.) because Tricky is in it and b.) because Massive Attack is fabulous!

A live band played hits from The Beatles during the Rock and Republic show tonight and it was absolutely AMAZING! Who doesn't like fabulous fashions stomping down the runway to The Beatles??? Loved it.

"Hot Sand" was playing during the Mara Hoffman show. That show was my absolute favorite! So 70's, so chic ... this song was playing (amongst many others) and it totally added to the sexy vibe.

The Darkness- One Way Ticket to Hell...And Back

I am about 90% sure that Venexiana opened the show with The Darkness blasting throughout the tent. I would have that extra 10% of certainty if one of my ear drums didn't burst to pieces.

Description

Don't think any of these old songs made it to this week's fashion week but if you want to party to last season's songs ;) all of the music in this awesome CD. I am going to pick up a copy.
