On a music binge, I picked up Every Avenue for two reasons: 1) The album art is cute and I'm easily swayed that way. 2) They're signed to Fearless Records which is home to many bands I love. Every Avenue doesn't stop the trend. It's the best album that I randomly purchased this week.

Danger Radio - Used And Abused

Description

Danger Radio is another example of how critics can't be trusted! I was extremely weary of this band because I'd heard such bad reviews about them. Then I saw them live because they were opening act for one of my favorite bands and they were... amazing! I love the lead singer. He's so tiny and adorable. Aside from that fact, their music is awesome.

I'm excited for Valencia's full length CD. I currently have their first album which is great even though it was recorded with a fully independent label, but now they're major and I'm looking forward to equally good jams with a better production value.

A Rocket To The Moon Limited Edition EP

I recently heard of A Rocket to the Moon... saw him live and came home and ordered his soon-to-be released EP. it's actually one guy with a back up band, but he's amazing. First and foremost, I love his hair. It's bright red and awesome. Secondly, I love his music. It's very catchy and pop punk fantastic.

2008 Warped Tour Compilation

Description

The best thing about this CD is that you get a lot of great songs from a lot of great bands without having to buy a lot of different CDs. I love practically all of the artists on Warped Tour this year so it's a great collection in my opinion.

Yellow & Elephant - Eye Alaska

Description

I can say that I love Eye Alaska, even when all they have is an EP. "Yellow & Elephant" is not what you'd expect these guys to sound like though when you get a look at them. Their music is very soulful, but still has elements of the punk pop scene they belong to. They're simply amazing.

I picked up this CD on a whim. I honestly was not expecting to like it because I just knew they were hardcore screamo kids... and sometimes they are, but for the most part, it's edgy and tough but it makes me feel good too. This is good stuff.
