If you thought that this coming Fall would finally be the "fall" of leggings well, sorry to say, your wrong. Leggings are still in and will actually be going stronger then ever. Leggings will be worn (try not to faint) as pants during the Fall. Look out for leggings with funky patterns on them as well. Mara Hoffman had some great ones in her collection.

Australian fashion brand sass & bide, debuted their “black rats” leggings during Fall/Winter 2008 New York fashion week. Deemed to be the “new denim” of the season, the “black rats” are being scooped up left and right by celebrities.

Will you be picking up a pair?

I have a sneaking suspicion that I will. Leggings won't die so I may as well get the hottest pair I can find.

MARC BY MARC JACOBS Shantung Waistcoat Vest - Spring 2008

Could I love Marc Jacobs anymore? I didn't think so until I saw this waistcoat. The most magical thing about it is that huge bows like this are hot for Fall 2008 too, so it's totally worth whatever money it costs. Great statement piece for the season.

Betsey Johnson 'Whisper' Oxford

I tired to fight it. I even bad talked it last summer ... but open-toed oxford booties are going to be a major force for Fall 2008. Yep. So paint your big toe (painting the others wouldn't hurt either) and get ready to strut your stuff.

The selection right now is pretty scarce but expect to see a lot more of these in the future. I like these from Betsey Johnson because the have tons of Betsey flair, which you know I love.

Another trend that I usually shun but now will have to get ready to embrace for Fall 2008 ... the turtleneck. For Fall 2008 they are going to be so chic and very, very hip! Extra high necks are they way to go and were prominently featured on the runway's in New York.

I love this one by Rachel Pally because it looks cozy and sexy at the same time, which is hard to do people! Also Rachel Pally makes really great quality pieces that are versatile for so many occasions.

Andew Gn One Shoulder Silk Dress

This dress actually captures two Fall 2008 trends but you can totally be ahead of the curve by wearing this during the Spring.

The Trends:

- Asymmetrical silhouette
- Yellow

I never thought I would see the day but the asymmetrical silhouette is back in vogue and better than ever. Great way to show off a sexy shoulder (you can leave the unsexy one hidden)

Yellow is back too, or should I say still here ... because it's been "in" for over a year now. For Fall 2008 it will be nice and bright, neon even.

Ralph Lauren Black Label Beaded Velvet Jacket & Pleated Tulip Skirt

There is a new silhouette in town for Fall 2008, the tulip skirt! The tulip skirt shows off a tiny waist and hides less than fab legs. This trend was all over the runway and reminded me of the Dior "new look." With this trend the bigger the "tulip" the better (it makes the waist look smaller).

This was probably the item I saw the most on the runway ... colored tights! From blue to reds, purples to grays -- colored tights were the glue that holds a Fall 2008 wardrobe together. Not to toot my own influential horn but I SOOO called this one!
