New Morning

Description
i've always felt that this album was under-rated and altho it gets attention, i never feel like enough; it has some of Dylan's great songs on it, albeit the quieter ones and less obvious ones, they're still great. Songs like:
If Not For You
Time Passes Slowly
Winterlude
Time Passes Slowly
Sign on the Window
and let's not forget the belted out and incredibly sexy One More Weekend, which has to be among the best for what it is....
New Morning is a great record. Not my favorite Dylan, but certainly one worth buying (well, i have everything, but if you do not, i would get this).... (via amazon)

Land of Marbles: Sulphide (fox)

Description
this particular marble is the closest i could find, but the marble i recommend has a figure inside of it and is an old-fashioned marble.... as a marble collector, these are very rare and very beautiful.... worth having, even if you use them for decorating and simply filling glass jars in the house - myriad colors of marbles work wonders with the sunlight shining through them, or play, or both like i do.... Blonde on Blonde

Description
this is one of the best Dylan albums ever, if only for Visions of Johanna, but a lot more besides. This and Bringing It All Back Home must be my two favorites, but you really cannot go wrong if you want classic older Dylan -- the sound is quite different and smoother here than Bringing It All Back Home, but it's wonderful as molasses. i own the original record of this and nothing beats vinyl - you can digitize vinyl and it maintains that vinyl feel and sound to it - much rounder sound .... better. Hohner, Inc. - Chromatic Harmonica
First to recommend
Description
I play the harmonica (really) and the guitar, but I love love love the harmonica because you can pick it up pretty easily and it's fun to play along to Dylan or just dance around the apartment in your underwear playing the Creole blues... hey, really tho... the chromatic which i own, is great because you can play in any key at all with the flip of one switch at the end of the piece as you are playing, so you can play all keys with this one harmonica... pretty nifty.

Together Through Life [Vinyl LP w/ CD]: Bob Dylan
First to recommend
Description
Okay - there has been some negative press about this, mostly about how it is "lukewarm" and the general complaint (from certain quarters) that Bob is "too happy" (ah, the distant or not so distant, cry for more "Blood On The Tracks" - great album, but...). In my view, this is a solid album with some terrific songs. It has a zydeco sound, very New Orleans - makes sense - it has a great sense of optimism, hope, and forward motion, particularly the song, "I Feel A Change Comin' On" - you can take a gander on YouTube, but the whole album is really worth buying. I recommend the vinyl because although I am an mp3 digital generation, yes, the first thing i bought was a record - and nothing has the round warm sound of Vinyl. This is worth getting on Vinyl and the CD comes with it - it's not that much more money. If you have a stereo, I say go for it. I did. - s.r.p. (bob dylan on tant mieux)
