The Ultimate Poker Table

First to recommend

Description

I'll let you in on a little secret: I can't stand those octagonal "poker tables" that seat four people. If you're going to play four-handed poker, sit at the dining room table with the kids.

If you're a hold 'em nut like me, though, this is what you're looking for. This is a quality ten-person table with folding legs for easy storage.

From the site:

- 92in x 44in x 30in Re-designed to be the definitive 10 player table size (SUV friendly!)
- Removable and fully customizable playing surface-exclusive design!
- Professional playing surface foam, casino quality firmness with responsive give-thickest playing surface foam on the market
- 5in cherry wood veneer racetrack
- 10 Stainless steel 3in x 2in cupholders - fits cans and bottles
- 1/6in Heavy duty steel fold-in legs
- Big Blind Online exclusive wood frame support system eliminates warping
- Premium play surface felt, will never fuzz
-The Ultimate Poker Table available in Black , Red, Green and Blue

1000-Piece Poker Chip Set - 13.5g Cay Chips

First to recommend

Description

Plastic chips are for amateurs. Besides, you can't pull off great chip tricks with those ridged plastic pieces of junk. Invest in a great set of clay chips instead.

Also, these chips come marked with dollar amounts on them for easy recognition. Never again will you have to listen to the jerk at the other end of the table whining because "he thought black chips were 5 bucks, not 25." That wuss....

These chips come in a dual-lock aluminum case, and best of all, you can call the company and have your chip denominations custom-assembled! If 1000 chips are too many, check out the 500-piece sets as well.

Doyle Brunson's Super System 2

First to recommend

Description

Okay, tough guy. You have your table, your clay chips, your visor, your sunglasses, and a couple of brand new Bicycle decks. Your friends brought the beer. There are pretzels galore.

Two things:

First, you're probably playing penny-nickel-dime. Are the sunglasses really necessary?

Secondly, to quote Kenny Rogers, "If you're going to play the game, boy, you gotta learn to play it right."

While Brunson's Super System isn't the end-all, be-all of poker, it will give you insight on how to play the game the way it was meant to be played. This way, when some schmuck calls your 3x pre-flop raise with 10-7 suited and flops a straight, you can not only call him a donk, but explain WHY he's a donk.
