Because We Can-- the company behind this groovy flatpack table-- make AMAZING stuff like an interactive LED coffee table ( http://wwww.becausewecan.org ). Their low tech stuff is equally fabulous. I love the little squirrel running up this tree trunk and the other leg has an owl perched in it. Flatpack furniture is good for the environment and good for the people that own it, too. This table goes together in seconds with no tools- and yes, the top is safely held in place.

Because we can also does amazing custom work. This company is on my watch list!

I never heard the term "faux bois" until I heard it from Martha Stewart. I have strong suspicions that she may have done more for the faux bois revival than anyone- but that's a good thing, especially since it brought us this great wool rug manufactured in partnership with Safavieh.
