Gothic Ashtray

There are many skull ashtrays out there --- a ton of them. Most remind me of 80's Ronnie James Dio album covers. This one however, is a bit more stylish. Simple, monotone silver (also available in severely more upscale white, yellow, or red gold and/or platinum) would be my choice. I'm just annoyed that someone found this wonderful accent piece before I did. To think of such a minute, but important little detail for the bathtub --- the overflow plug. I'm more of a shower person, actually, but this plus some Einhorn skull faucets might just get me splashing about more often.

I don't even like soft boiled eggs and I'd buy this kick ass set! Maybe it's my inner goth... Well, not just maybe. I suppose there is no other reason I'd find this so terribly cool. Anyway, I would recommend this item to anyone that has a similar aesthetic. This would look great sitting in my otherwise very rooster-filled kitchen.

I was happy to run across these. I have a hard time finding thank you cards to suit my taste. These do the trick very nicely. A lovely frowning skull and crossbones with a very simply stated, "Much obliged." It's pretty funny, you have to admit, and hey, you are being polite and saying "Thank you" in a grunty sort of pirate way. Plus these cards are made from recycled paper. Bonus! I don't normally go for cutesy salt and pepper shakers, but these are pretty cool. Plus, they sort of nix the cuteness ratio with the fact that they have skull faces.

Shiny, black and ceramic, their eyes are pour holes and their slumping bodies form the receptacles for your coarsely ground pepper and salt. They have far more character and attitude than gnomes or ducks. I could see these gracing my dining room table or brooding over the rim of my stove. (via store.vitaminliving.com)
