Description

Because I am the sort of person I am, when I saw this I immediately had a vision of young children with wooden mallets chasing after animals fleeing in terror.

Dolphin 2/dragonfly M18 Water System

2 people recommended this item

Description

In layperson's terms - this device takes the moisture from the air and turns it into drinking water. For those of you looking for more technical jargon: The M18 uses Aquovate technology to convert ambient atmospheric water vapour into potable water, treated by Hyflux’s advanced membrane and purification technologies. This patented technology is unique in providing water in the purest form - much like crystal dew, found only on the purest mountain tops.

Hampton Glass House

First to recommend

Description

The Hampton Glass House is an enchanting display for the holidays. Intricately crafted with superb attention to detail, this lantern has an open-air cupola and Gothic-style windows with individually-cut panes that resemble antique beveled glass. Pretty. Me like. No stone throwing.

Tellarium Clock

First to recommend

Description

I pasted the full description below. This thing is awesome. Really beautiful.

The Tellurium clock reproduces the annual orbit of the earth around the sun, with the earth rotating around its axis once in 24 hours. The moon, in turn, revolves around the earth in 29.5 days, allowing the reproduction of the moon's phases as they are visible from earth.

The earth is tilted on its axis and is rotated by an auxiliary gear train. In the course of one year, the earth passes all twelve zodiac signs, months and days which are indicated on the flat disc.

The clock's 8-day spring wound movement with Westminster chime on 4 polished bells provides precise recording of time.

Cherrywood construction accented by a polished brass disc with milled zodiac signs, rosettes, and months and days of the year adds to its aesthetic appeal.

Oberwerk Binocular Telescope

First to recommend

Description

If I could, I would buy this just to put in a corner of my office. It is that cool. Works as both a binocular for terrestrial viewing and as a telescope for sky watching. Really impressive.

Description

Looking at this I can only think, "the art of time". Really striking. I don't even care if it actually tells time or not. I just like to look at it.

Ambient Weather Beacon

First to recommend

Description

Weather Channel groupies will love this. The Weather Beacon shows the forecasted weather for your neighborhood using the same color spectrum used by USA Today, The Weather Channel and others. The Weather Beacon pulses slowly when the forecast includes rain or snow.
