Galt Super Marble Run
First to recommend
Description
We call it the "marble game" at our house, and it's the activity that we come back to again and again, from adults to toddlers, building and watching the marble run is both challenging and fun--and, of course, the marble run is just as much fun to knock down as it was to build (if you're two).

Galt Marble Racer

Description
Yesterday I posted my adoration of the Galt Marble Run, and today I'm posting my desire to own the Galt Marble Racer... I don't own this one yet, but I need it. I've only witnessed its fabulousness once or twice, but in that time I've come to covet the possible racing challenges presented by this ultracool and oh so hip/nerdy/fun marble racing adventure!
Man. I think I just blew a geek gasket. Sorry about that.

Schwinn 500CD Electric Scooter
First to recommend
Description
Yesterday I'm walking along downtown Spokane minding my own business, and I see a guy, maybe sixty years old, cruising along on his brand new Schwinn 500CD, and I almost stopped him and congratulated him on his extra-hip-and-grooviness, but I didn't, because I was late already, and just kept walking, but then today here I am in another part of town altogether and what do I see but a twenty-something son-of-a-gun on the same darn model scoot-of-fabulousness and I'm thinking, "if two people can be seen in Spokane in two days riding the same model scooter, then damn, these things are very nearly mainstream."
Expect one running over your toes in the very near future. They're kind of groovy.

The Time Paradox (Artemis Fowl, Book 6)

Description
Have you been keeping up with Artemis Fowl? These are terrific books to read... especially to read aloud. And if you've read any of them, you'll likely want to pick up The Time Paradox. It looks to me to be one of the best (they just keep getting better, darn it).

I Eat Spiders in My Sleep Infant Bodysuit
First to recommend
Description
I love it when the little baby stuff says something totally creepy. Thus, I love the heck out of the infant bodysuit saying "I eat spiders in my sleep."
This is likely a total urban myth, by the way. We don't eat spiders awake or asleep. But that doesn't change the cool-creepiness of the bodysuit.
By the way, more adult clothes need to be made with snaps under the crotch. Totally.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Collector's Edition (Offered Exclusively by Amazon) by J. K. Rowling

Description
I can't decide if I should save my pennies or put it at the top of my Christmas list... or just wait and see if my puts it on his Christmas list (he's bound to, honestly), but it would be cool to get ourselves on of these, and the cash all goes to charity for kids, so that's ultimately very cool...

The seller here is calling this a "clothes saver," but I prefer to think of it as a "man bib."

Potato Gun
4 people recommended this item
Description
Once upon a time I wanted a Potato Gun more than any other thing I knew of, and I had one, but I didn't know it was a Potato Gun until much later. After it was broken. When I examined it, after many years, I realized the true purpose of my spud gun. To shoot potato bits. Though I simply was not aware. And then it was too late.
Now? My son has a Potato Gun. And he knows exactly what it is for. And I shall live vicariously through him.
Added bonus? Also shoots apples.
