If you haven't watched JON & KATE PLUS 8 on TLC, you're missing out. I have never seen a more real family exposed on TV...and with eight kids! It's unbelievable. The sextuplets are completely adorable, the older twin sisters are bossy and maternal, and the parents are so real, sarcastic, and loving. Anyone I have convinced to give this show a try has fallen in love.

It may have been disqualified from the Oscars for having too much English dialogue, but this film deserved a nom - and your eyes. So now it may not end up in EVERY theater it would have, but please track it down and support this great Israeli film.

My pick for favorite film of 2008. Michel Gondry's whimsical style (a la Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Science of Sleep) takes a turn for the...well, it's too soon to say, but from what I've heard (and read in the script!) it's a real winner and worth every penny to see in a theater.
