I am buying this for the second time because my 7-year-old has literally played it to death in the past year. Great flick, especially for little girls who love mermaids.

First of all, I love the color of the wheels. If a mermaid could wish for legs, she would then promptly go out and buy these to skate with.
Secondly, I'm such a hypocrite- I'm an adrenaline junkie who is uber-protective when it comes to every activity I let my kids participate in. When I look at roller blades I get visions of broken necks and spoon-feeding them pudding for the rest of their lives.
So I love old-fashioned roller skates. Those four wheels look stable enough that they allow me to forget all the broken bones I witnessed growing up and watching my friends skate down hills.
