Villette by Charlotte Bronte (Barnes & Noble Classics Series)

First to recommend

Description

One of my very dear friends is on a mission to turn me into a literary snob in a summer. Now, it might take a little longer than a summer, but I'm game. And we decided to start off my Victorian-binge-reading summer with Charlotte Bronte's Villette. I'm about 125 pages in and I definitely love this book so far. And I have to admit that I'm kind of obsessed with the fact that the Barnes & Noble Classics are only $8 and all the covers look great together. (But we all know that I'm a sucker for a deal and visual appeal.)

The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins (Barnes & Noble Classics Series)

Description

I do love me a good mystery novel and what better addition to my summer reading list than a novel from the father of mystery himself -- Wilkie Collins! I haven't read this puppy yet, but you can bet that I'll be back to fill you kids in on the details when I'm through...

Notes from Underground, The Double, and other stories by Fyodor Dostoevsky (Barnes & Noble Classics Series)

Description

This book is going to be a nice change of pace for me because it's not a novel, but a collection of short stories by Dostoevksy. As I haven't read them yet, I really have no clue what they'll be like... but they come as a recommendation from a very trusted source and I'll be back to give my two cents!
