Sound technology turns the way you hear on its ear

This invention basically beams a sound beam that you can hear within your own head.

It has been used in advertising a paranormal movie in New York, but to be honest, the uses of this for blind people and for safety far outweigh the uses of it for intrusive advertising, and for forcing people to hear things.

I have seen pictures of people hiding and directing the beam at people so they hear weird noises...

But hopefully if they are used for safety more than advertising I can see a great use for them. I just don't want to walk down the street and be assaulted visualy with advertising and with advertising beamed into my head so I can't hear my iPod... That would annoy me. (via usa today)

Okay, this was a promotional piece done by a pie company here in Australia, basically so guys eating pies would look better in the eyes of females by eating salad with their pies.

Of course, the plate itself contains a fake rim of salad with just enough room for the pie...
