In August 2008, the Eelectronic Sports World Cup will be held in San Jose, California, housing hundreds of competitors from well over 50 different countries to compete for eternal glory and a very handsome reward. Like the Summer Olympics for gamers, this year's international professional gaming championship features: Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike (Women's league), Dota, Quake, WarCraft 3 and TrackMania. Description
One of the best tactical first person shooter video game, which was first developed as a "Half-Life" modification originated by Minh "Gooseman" Le and Jess "Cliffe" Cliffe.
It has been a game played in the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) since 2003, along with many other various LAN tournaments such as the Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL), the World e-Sports Games (WEG), and the World Cyber Games (WCG).
Form a team , take a side and join in on the 2008 ESWC (taking place this August) with Counter Strike.

This is an expansion pack to "Reign of Chaos," which was released to fix bugs and add new features such as the "Naga" race as well as new units and buildings.

Quake 3 is a multiplayer first-person shooter computer and video game with the goal of fraging (killing) enemy players and scoring points based on the game mode's objective such as capturing the enemy flag.
It's been a featured game at competitions such as the Cyberathlete Amateur League, the Cyberathlete Professional League, QuakeCon, World Cyber games and the upcoming Electronic Sports World Cup.

Description
Warcraft III's single-player campaign is laid out similarly to that of StarCraft, being told through all four of the game's races in a progressive manner. Multiplayer mode allows for play against other people, via the internet, instead of playing against computer-controlled characters as is done in the single-player custom game mode.
WarCraft. Because without it, there would never have been DotA.
