A good turtleneck is hard to fine (at least for me). First, the color has to be right and then it has to have a good collar (not to tall or thick) and then it needs to look at least semi modern. And here is this pretty turtleneck that does it. and does it in my favorite shade of grey.

Empire waists are flattering on everyone. I like this dress that hides the empire waist in a charcoal gray sheath dress. Add in the silver beaded embroidery on the hem and you have a dress that I think would make a good Christmas dress.

When I look at this dress I see a good fall dress (I'm also reminded of Casablanca, but that's a different story).In a black and white tweed, this dress has a lot of little extras that make it adorable: the button seams, the stand collar, the belt. All together they are beautiful.

When I saw that pencil skirts were coming back in, I was SO happy. I LOVE pencil skirts...in fact I think I could wear them every day and be happy. I adore this gray pencil skirt from the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection. It's in a nice grey and accented with a fun little black belt. Fantastic!

Dr Horrible's Sing a Long Blog was awesome not just for the music (though that was neat), nor just the character (NPH as Dr Horrible=win!) but for the overall package. In real life brick houses are some of my favorite houses, so I was so excited to see a 'brick' dollhouse. Granted it's not real brick (that would be SO heavy) but it looks like it is. Brick, grey and white just look so beautiful together.

It looks like bubble wrap. Or, that's my draw to it. I have this urge to grab it and see if I can pop the bubbles! But in addition to my weird fascination with the baubles, they do dress up the clutch nicely. I'm thinking it would make a great going out bag.

Don't tell anyone, but sometimes my toes get chipped in the winter. I mean, I wear pumps or some shoe that covers my toes all winter long so you can understand that the desire to keep them up to date wans a bit. But in the summer you will see my toes always up to date. Otherwise I couldn't wear pretty sandals like these. With their summery flower and bright print these shoes are quintessential summer shoes.

These shiny shiny patent spectators are spectacular! I love the little bow, the contrasting black and grey and the lowish heel (hey 2 inches means they can go everywhere!). They look like they'd look great with pants or with a skirt, a fall staple perhaps?

Spectator shoes and I get a along wonderful. I love the contrasting colors and the cutouts while the spectator shoes love getting picked first out of the closet every time--they only have to fight amongst the other spectator shoes to get picked first. Considering how much I adore black and grey and considering that flats and I always get a long, these shoes are a sure bet.

This skirt looks so comfy! I'm thinking it would make a wonderful weekend skirt for this coming fall. Though, I'd probably get it in black (I do love black). The wide waistband is nice, but it's the hem that makes me adore it. It's interesting and that's lacking in some many standard skirts.

I like the feel of faux fur (and shh! real fur) on my skin. When I'm feeling all sick and cold, a bundle of faux fur warmth is just the thing to sooth my aching self. And here is a hot water bottle with an imitation fur cover. Hey, at least I don't have to feel guilty about it being a real animal.

These are my current running shoes. I love them. I have funny shaped toes (I say it's from wearing pointy toed shoes so long) and so I normally decimate the sides of other running shoes. New Balances fit my foot nicely and it takes a good long while before I wear a little hole in the side of them (inevitable in all my shoes sadly). And did I mention they are comfy? They are.

As much fun as I might poke at Nike for their rainbow bright shoes (which actually are oddly appealing), I do like their running shoes (Nike is ranked right after New Balance for number of runnings shoes owned by me). And these look like good solid running shoes that'll, pardon the pun, go the distance.

These shoes remind me of a grate or maybe a bee hive. Either way it's a fun shoe with it's blue bottom and mesh-y top. I haven't really tried adidas for running shoes (I usually go New Balance), but it's always fun to branch out.

I think these running shoes were built for me! They are pink! Perhaps they are a little bit bolder than I normally am, but that's half the fun of fashion sometimes, seeing the effect a pair of killer shoes (even running shoes) might have on you.

Shoes like this would be perfect for running outdoor, they are already an off white, so no nights spent scrubbing them clean. They also are trail shoes so they have a bit more support. And I like Salomon skis, so might as well give their shoes a try!

I've started running again. (Or I've started to start running again, which involves more walking than jogging). And there is something about new running shoes that motivates me all sorts! I like these shoes, not only do they look comfy they look pretty too. I'd probably wear them when running inside to minimize the amount of dirty they get.

I like the green on this stroller it's very mossy and relaxing. It just kind of looks comfy. On the functionality side this stroller can be configured to work with a bassinet or car seat and easily fold.

Hee! I know I shouldn't find this cute. One of the problems with women's suits in the stores these days is that they are so short (blame: Ally McBeal). This suit by Ann Taylor is long enough that it's polite and yet still is kind of fun. Maybe a casual friday suit? Or at least, that's what I'm seeing.

Though I might seem like a shine addict from time to time, the truth is I like my shine in precisely targeted mini doses. Mini doses like this wastebasket. It has too much shine to be a central piece, but tucked in the back of a room (or side, or corner) it's deliver the needed hidden pop!

I love this tea towel and pot holder set. In an always current gray and dark gray, this pattern will fit perfectly in a modern kitchen. I think it might make a good housewarming gift too!

The bird on this pillow reminds me of the partridge from the partridge family. It's oh so retro and kind of funky. Plus with gray and blue look so nicely together. Great for a happy family.

Orange and gray rock the scene again in these pattered round hat boxes. I think my favorite part of these boxes isn't that they are gray and orange (though that is pretty neat), but rather that they are in a more traditional pattern. I'm kind of liking the idea of a "traditional" bedroom done in the colors of gray and orange.

I think I might send these to my friend who is in the process of delivering (poor girl!). They will be wonderful for little ones. They are soft and perfect for little hands to grab. And if you don't like them as toys, they would make a great mobile too!
