If you have a little one and you don't want to leave hot water in a bear that might get spilled everywhere, then a bunny like this with a removable warming pillow might be the thing. It's super soft and fuzzy and instead of a hot water bottle it's a little pillow you just throw in the microwave and...instant warmth.

I like the feel of faux fur (and shh! real fur) on my skin. When I'm feeling all sick and cold, a bundle of faux fur warmth is just the thing to sooth my aching self. And here is a hot water bottle with an imitation fur cover. Hey, at least I don't have to feel guilty about it being a real animal.

This isn't technically a hot water bottle, but it's just as handy as one! Buckwheat is one of my favorite things to stuff into warming pillows (followed by lavender, it's even better if they are together). Throw this soft chenille pillow in the microwave and it's a much less fussy hot water bottle.

I think the idea of a hot water bottle wearing a turtleneck, while perhaps slightly cheesy, is cute. Plus, the extra insulation keeps the hot water bottle hotter and you more comfortable. And red is such a pretty color on a snowy winter's day.

FISHY! So, I'm not quite like the girl from Finding Nemo, but I'm pretty close. I love fish. This fishy shaped hot water bottle is not only cute and warm, it's design hides some of the associated hot water bottle hardware and my theory is always the less they can see the better!

I know this is a bit silly, but I really like the idea behind this hot water bottle. When it's cold in the winter my cat will often sit on my lap, it's like having a really warm blanket on my lap. Plus, it's relaxing too. Apartments don't always allow cats, but they can't say no to a cat hot water bottle.

It might be hot out during the days, but it still can get cold at night and when I got out of the lake the other day I was freezing. Nothing warms me up like a cup of hot tea and a hot water bottle. I like slow cooking in addition to rice making (my favorite cold weather dishes usually combine the two). So, I'm loving this flexible rice cooker. I know I could get by with heating up two bricks and pressing my sandwich with those and to be fair, that would probably be more authentic. But the thing is, I don't have bricks laying around in my house and so a panini press is ever so handy. Because it doesn't matter what kind of sandwich it is, it always tastes better if you put it in a panini press (except maybe egg salad).

I'm not sure what it is about this cardigan that I'm loving so much. I Think it might be the cross between a sweater and a jacket. I think it might be the color (almost poppy red), I think it might be the buttons. Whatever it is, I see myself wearing this cardigan everywhere. Sweatshirts can be so boring and kind of plain. It's fun to be able to wear something that is more interesting. Something that is comfortable and causal, but still has that little something extra. The internet is an interesting thing. I have friends I've never met in person and real life friends who I only talk to through it. It's great to see a book that is all about an old world craft (knitting) and connecting it to a digital age. This book has some of the best shared knitting projects I've seen. You can, if you feel ambitious do them all by yourself, or you can make them a project like the author did. And she got pieces from all over the world.

Well, the eighties is famous for stripes and leg warmers. Put them together and you have the quintessence of the 80s. Well, maybe that's a little grandiose, but none the less they are fun. I am looking forward to summer, but when I saw this coat my first (and only) thought was 'why isn't it cold yet!'. To say I'm in love is an understatement. Herringbone with big black buttons and those sleeves, the sleeves are what make me weak. Last Christmas I learned to cable kit. I adored knitting the cables. It added dimension And this cable knit capelet looks warm and has such a nice three dimensional detail to it. I think camel gets forgotten far too often as an acceptable and glorious color. Camel fits so perfectly with black (so much of my wardrobe). And seems to bring out the itty bit of a tan that I have in the winter.

Some days a casual capelet is needed to throw over a pair of jeans and a black turtleneck. This layered knit black faux fur is just a nice warm, but not overwhelmingly warm layer. I think it would look food with long sleeves, nothing too short, otherwise it'll look funny. To tell you the truth, turtlenecks are the perfect under capelet fodder.

Rabbit fur is so soft and cuddly. Though I know I look like dorky in them, I have a pair of fuzzy rabbit fur earmuff that keep me nice and warm. How much better would a full rabbit fur capelet be? This white rabbit fur capelet has an air of innocence about it. And an air of snuffly warmth. White rabbit fur is just what fall needs..and makes this capelet feel vintage!

Call me an old woman, but I love beads. Beads and cream together make me over the moon. I like the beaded bow, the beaded collar, the beaded trim and buttons. It feels like I should be wearing this with my hair in a bun as I charge into fall.

Cashmere is oh so soft. I like wrapping up in cashmere when it's chilly and relaxing as it's fluffy softness sits against my skin A black cashmere capelet like this is just the ticket for a fall of warmth...or maybe even a summers night. With it's casual bow I could see this over a nice dress or maybe more causal with a nice fallish outfit.

Fall is a time to be wrapped in the warmth of a blanket. Sadly, you can't go out wrapped in a blanket. This black, white and grey plaid capelet looks like it'll be as warm as a blanket without the lack of hands and without the utter lack of shape. Plaid always seems to be a perfect fit come the fall. And this capelet looks like it'll protect against the chilliest fall frost and keep you warm against the dampest rain. Plus it has a leather belt to keep nice and set.

I live in a city. There is a sidewalk in front of my house and tennis courts in the park about a block away. None the less, I love barn jackets. Love them. This quilted red barn jacket is just perfect for a brisk fall day, a nice winter day or an early spring day. With it's scrolling quilting and playful zip, I'm head over heels...again.

Bedding needs layers. Sheets, quilt, duvet (with fluffy down comforter) make up my bed. So, if I'm getting a new duvet cover than I should probably get another quilt to keep me warm on those winter nights. After all, wouldn't want to have something mismatched in my bedroom! It is my sanctuary of course.

There was another fresh layer of snow on the ground when I awoke this morning. We just finished brunch, but the time will soon come to head out on for another lazy exploring day. There might be shopping, there might be a movie. There will definitely be snow and it will definitely be casual attire. This cashmere turtleneck sweater would be perfect! It's soft and warm (to ward against the snow) and even though it might be casual, I won't feel like I'm not put together.
