There is lots of really beautiful jewelry out there - unfortunately I'm of the wrong gender, and certainly not bold enough to bend social conventions to pull it off well.

Thankfully I can still appreciate beautifully designed objects that I'd happily give to friends who are of the female persuasion.

Bubble is just that, a wonderful graphic representation of a bubble. Lots of fun for a fashionista near you!

Issey Miyake is a brilliant man.

Here he takes a hard geometic shape and makes it soft and flexible. It screams strong but gentle. Its a great looking tote that you'll never be ashamed of. Simply beautiful.

If you still have doubts... its black, white and grey... it goes with everything and it has an interior pocked to hold anything.

My inner dork is dying for a bottle of this invisible ink. I dont know what I'd write and who I'd sent it to but I must have it NOW! The ink requires some old school writing implements (glass quill pen) but the idea is so cool! Once the message is written, it can only be revealed by holding the paper to a source of heat (light bulb works). Once the paper cools, the ink becomes invisible again.

My fantasies of being a spy or plain old sneaky person are alive and well.

Push the rod down, the radio turns on, push it again, it turns off. Shift the rod to the right, the radio will scan forward to the next station. Shift it to the left... you get it. Up and down control volume. Simple sound wherever you need it. Great looking and definitely not what you'd expect.

A credit card on ThisNext? Why not?

There's lots of plastic out there but no card can take place of my American Express Green Rewards card. The color indicates that I'm still working on getting to gold, platinum or maybe black. The Rewards aspect means that I am serious about racking up points toward Crate & Barrel Gift Cards.

Seriously, this is my very favorite card. The rewards program is generous and if you charge and pay off all your necessities, you will be well on your way to great rewards. The card comes with lots of convenience too and the American Express name that is recognized around the world (though sometimes not at the corner Deli). Still, I never leave home without it!

So many designs are going retro and people are paying top dollar for brand new throwbacks. The Damas Jump watch looks retro because it acutally is!

This watch is unique because at it's core is a ticking swiss-made automatic mechanism. The face shows a 'digital' or 'direct read' display - its still an analog watch but the face shows rotating discs that show the time on one line!

Its birth occurred sometime in the 70s. Available mostly in the UK (I'm sure they will be more than happy to ship), you might find some in the states.

The Koffski takes the idea of a Man Bag to the next (more subversive) level, though I'm sure thats not the idea.

Shaped and worn like a gun holster, it definitely will draw attention. The wallet itself a series of compartments to hold all your stuff. It is made out of Rugato calfskin crafted in small batches in a tannery in Tuscany.

Okay, so $450 is probably a little steep for a guaranteed frisking regardless of how good it is (the frisking). But, if you really want a unique look that is admittedly made out of excellent materials this is for you.

Once glance at the face and you find yourself thinking 'if MUJI made a watches, this is excactly what they would look like.'

The square face is a bit unconventional but executed in a fantastic way. The numbers are arranged as if they were on a round faced clock. This is the only visibly 'soft' aspect of this design. The rectangular frame and the band is clean and free of any embellishment.

The round face designs come in black and white with your choice of black or brown band.

Like Mondaine watches, the round series is based on the design of Japanese public clocks. This explains the minimal design and suberb visibility.

Best of all, both designs are Automatic (self-winding, not quartz). For any serious time piece enthusiast, this is the only 'real' kind of watch.

At first glance I got flashes of infomercials and 'but wait, theres more' promises. As cheezy as it may sound, this product actually makes sense.
