I purchased this mixer several months ago. I use it all of the time for cakes, cookies, spinach dip, and lots more. It has three different beater attachments which are used for different applications. The wire whip is not recommended for the dishwasher, but I have had no problems with the other atta...morechments in the dishwasher. Its heavy and durable. Kitchenaid is a great appliance name, and this particular mixer in the caviar color has a slight sparkle to it.
