A tragic film about a young bicycle taxi driver's decent into a dark criminal underworld. Powerful and nuanced performances are found throughout.Tony Leung Chiu Wai who is great as usual.

The best warning I could give laymen (which I almost fall into and possibly do) : Imagine Bergmen meets The R...moreevenge Trilogy (e.g. Old Boy, Lady Vengeance, Mr. Vengeance).

Of course this isn't a fair way to describe Tran Anh Hun 's work, but it seems to be the best way I'm able to at the moment :)
