I had seen the stage play many years ago and enjoyed it but I was more impressed with the movie version. I am not really a fan of Catherine Zeta Jones or Renee Zellweger but really enjoyed them in the movie.

"I first fell in love with Baz Luhrmann with his Strictly Ballroom. His Romeo and Juliet is over the top and shiny but I loved the reinterpretation of the death scene. And Moulin Rouge is just pretty to look at. Mmm, Ewan Macgregor."
