"I was stuck on the shure m44-G's and 44-7's for a long time when I still played vinyl and switched to the ortofon scratch OM cartridges because I would have a lot of local gigs in NYC where the mixers wouldn't have gain controls so the the extra high output on the ortofons helped a lot. Now that I use Serato the extra output from the digitrack needles gives a stronger signal."
