"I haven't tried this myself, but it looks promising. It's a self-managing, self-contained RAID drive. Just plug this fella into your computer and copy your files over. Drobo will automotically backup your data. No worries. (Well, so long as you trust a robot to give your data back to you. I can see it now, "I'm sorry, Dave. I can't do that" ;o)"

"Hands off hard disk management. Just throw disks at it when it gets hungry, you can leave the nuisance of hard drive management to the magic box. Do not taught the magic box. It won't have great performance, true. It won't be ultra reliable, sure. But.. and its a big but, its data management for the masses. Expandable RAID your grand ma could manage. Just add disks, any size, recovers from errors...."
