"I have my drums in a relatively small room -- practicing with regular sticks is often just too painful without ear protection. These sticks have the weight of regular sticks but are much quieter. I prefer using them to using mute pads. Even though they won't work for rolls (they just don't have the right bounce), they are still the sticks I always grab first when practicing."
