"This is a wonderful boisterous, raucous, romp through the Alexander Dumas Novel. It is beautifully photographed and brilliantly paced. Gene Kelly's performance as D'artangan is fabulous. One of the great swashbuckling film adventures of all time. It veers slightly from the novel, but captures it's essence. A terrific movie, much better than those versions that followed."
