Okay, so allthough this is not his best work, I still liked it a lot. The difference between this album and others is, that he somehow rejuvenated through his music. There are a lot of dance tracks (flawless, freeek!, etc.), but I think this album is more important because of his political statement...more. "Shoot the dog" is not only a very good song and a highlarious video to boot, but also an anti Bush-Blair song. He thinks Bush is an rancid idiot and Blair a wipped bitch and he's not afraid to say it. However, it was suprising to me how he for the first time opened up about his family. "Round here" is about his childhood and "my mother had a brother" is really beautiful.
But, like I said, it's a more "danceable" album (my sister calls it "the gay album"-I think that's enough to say).
My favorite tracks: Patience, amazing, John and elvis are dead, cars and trains (my personal favorite :) ), Round here, Shoot the dog, Flawless, American Angel.
