Slash: The Slash autobiography
1 recommendation
"A great set of stories, each one beter than the last. It is hard to beleive it's all true. A super entertaining read and a great insight into a time and a place that I personally find fascinating. I think Anthony Bozza did a great job ghost writing this- it really feels honest, from the hip, and mostly as if it was all Slash's own words. "It seems excessive...but that doesn't mean it didn'..."
The Compton Rose T-Shirt by RockSmith
1 recommendation
"Damn this shirt is tight! I love this a lot since Guns N' Roses and N.W.A. are two of my favorite musical groups. It has the Appetite for Destruction cross with the faces of Eazy E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella."
Velvet Revolver - Libertad

"Velvet Revolver didn't come out as strong on there second effort but it's still a good try. I haven't heard the whole CD but "Let it Roll" stood out as a pretty good track."
Velvet Revolver - Contraband

"I was a little apprehensive when I heard that three ex-Guns N' Roses members (Matt Sorum, Duff McKagan and Slash) were teaming up with an 90's alt-rock icon (Scott Weiland; ex-Stone Temple Pilots). I despise anything grunge/alternative/lame and STP was definitely on my radar of bands that needed to be destroyed. However Contraband was a good fit of 80's hard rocking-ness with a 21st century edge. ..."

"I always have been and always will be an Izzy girl. However, that doesn't mean I don't have some love for Slash too.Whether or not you are a fan of hard rock, you can't deny that Slash is one mean MOFO on the guitar! I also love that he has a unique style, that you can always tell it is him when he plays. Not all guitarists are like that. Slash has been and always will be a cut above. Aside from h..."
Izzy Stradlin & the Ju Ju Hounds

"The smartest thing Izzy ever did was leave Guns and Roses (who died for me the day he left). He was the heart and fucking soul of GnR. Sure, Slash is a good guitarist, but his playing does not have the bluesy soul that Izzy's does. This is the first CD that Izzy did after leaving GnR. It still holds up to this day and just sounds amazing. Does Izzy love Keith Richards and the Faces? Sure he does!!..."
Chinatown - Chinatown
1 recommendation
"My absolute favorite CD of 2006 (along with Primal Scream's Riot City Blues). I can't say enough good things about Vancouver's Chinatown. Think the Faces meet old school Guns and Roses (cira. they days when they were good with Izzy) and Backyard Babies. Good straight ahead, junkie, sleazy rock! Order it now and let me know what you think. You can buy me a drink and thank me later!"

"I've been really in an Izzy mood lately. He is one of my favorite guitar players of all time. 117 Degrees has been spending a lot of time in my CD player lately, as well as Izzy's first solo project after leaving Guns and Roses, Izzy Stradlin' and the JuJu Hounds. This CD is very underrated, IMO. If you love that Exile on Main Street sound, you can't help but love Izzy's solo stuff (for those of y..."
