"I'd call it the second best Nirvana album ever (i guess that not that hard when there was only 3 studio releases), second only to Nevermind. This was Nirvana's final hoorah and a helluva hoorah, at that. Bets track --The closer, All Apologies."

"Of all the great frontmen to come out of the Seattle grunge scene, I always like Chris Cornell's voice the best. Of course it's showcased really nicely in "Black Hole Sun", the key single off this album. The whole album is great though, keeping Soundgarden's unique sound but making a really great mainstream album. Yes, it's a bit dark and brooding, but that's what's great about it."

"This album was a staple of my teenage years. There's dramatic guitar fills and the vocal delivery has enough punch and aggression to match up to my teen angst. But it manages to hold up over time. There are some well crafted songs in here. "I Alone" is dark but catchy, s is "Selling the Drama". "Lightening Crashes" is a good song, if you can get past the over-exposure that almost ruins it for..."

"On their third album, Pearl Jam goes from the forefront of grunge to rock gods. They've cemented their place as a strong voice in the alt rock jungle of the 90s. They've crafted great songs full of meaning but don't forget that message means nothing if the song isn't strong and catchy. It also shows their continued musical evolution. "Nothingman" is sad and gorgeous and nothing that you'd have..."

"Is there a bad song on this whole album? This *is* grunge as it should be. "Even Flow", "Alive", "Why Go", "Black" (my all time #1 fav), "Jeremy"... Seriously solid album with great guitar riffs, and killer lyrics. Everyone should own this album. One of the best things to come out of the 90s."

"It's a dark with dirty guitars and themes of death and sex rampant throughout, yet it's somehow catchy at the same time. "Dead & Bloated" is aggressive and hard, but "Creep" is almost pretty. "Plush" has crunching guitars and vocals that are reminiscent of grunge and "Sex Type Thing" is fast and attacking. It's a dynamic album that survives the 90's pretty intact I'd say."

"When I started listening to rock music when I was 8 years old Nirvana was one of the first bands I discovered. Nevermind is definitely one the best rock albums ever! Nothing else needs to be said."

"When I first moved to Los Angeles it was late in January, just at the beginning of a long, damp rainiy season. For some reason I had this CD in my car and I proceeded to listen to it for two long months of rain, gloomy skies, blowing palm trees, and trying to adjust to a new city. Californication is an amazing album which to me perfectly captures the essence of California and Los Angeles in all i..."

"Bittersweet Symphony used to be playing everywhere... on the radio, in my parents car and my friend's cars. Isn't life a Bittersweet Symphony?"
