Kapok is a great alternative to synthetic stuffing and earth-unfriendly farmed cotton. Kapok fibers come from inside the pod, they feel more like silk than like cotton, are lightweight, and thanks to the natural amount of bitter agents keeps away mites (e.g. when used as pillow stuffing).
