Live at Leeds: The Who
1 recommendation
"One of the greatest live recordings of all time. It captures the Who at their peak, with guitars a-blazing and full of aggression and energy. This was when they were known for their ear-splitting concerts and wrecking guitars. It's worth getting the deluxe edition, which provides an almost complete performance of Tommy on the second disc."
Under a Blood Red Sky: U2
1 recommendation
"Live EP that served as an entryway for many people to U2's early work. It's a pretty good recording, capturing a lot of their live energy. Personally, I don't think any of the live tracks outshine the album cuts, but it's pretty solid for a live album."
The Fray Live at the Electric Factory, Bootleg No. 1
1 recommendation
"I'm a sucker for live and acoustic albums and versions of songs I love. The Fray's "How to Save a Life" is one of the best, if not the best, albums of the year and this live "Bootleg" holds up. The Fray sounds so great! It makes me feel like I'm actually at one of their concerts - and a pretty intimate one at that!"
At the Point: Matt Nathanson

"this is hands down the best acoustic album i have ever heard. its a little girly (a.k.a. sappy) but still super sweet."
An Intimate Evening with Mary J. Blige - Live from the House of Blues

"Live albums are all better than the studio versions if the singer has talent which she does."
