When I was little I had a fairy at my 5th birthday party. Not a real fairy obviously, but it was a fun enough game. When My best friend at the time stole the fairy's wand (which I didn't think was very sporting, but oh well). Since then I have a tendency to associate wands with parties that are bi...moreg on the glitz. And St Patricks Day is certainly a time for glitz!
