Barnes and Noble: The Morning Show Murders by Al Roker with Dick Lochte
1 recommendation
"I have to love the man who regularly puts my hometown on the map during his weekday weather reports. But Al Roker has greatly exceeded all of my expectations in the last decade, becoming a huge advocate of literacy, lending his voice to the animation of "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," and, most recently, co-authoring a comedy-mystery tale of morning television. Up next: his inside take on t..."
Dial D [Murder in the Mews] Necklace

"Okay I love Deco, didn't get the murder mystery part until I read it on their site. But, that aside from that the mix of silver, black and geometric shapes screams 1920s, so I can't not love these necklaces. I also like the loose linked chain. This is costume jewellery and I the length of the chain means it would look great over a jumper."
Bas Bleu: Hercule Poirot's Christmas by Agatha Christie
1 recommendation
"All Agatha Christie's brother-in-law wanted for Christmas one year was a good and bloody murder mystery . . . and, so, Christie delivered it to him in the form of "Hercule Poirot's Christmas: A Holiday Mystery." And you thought your family holiday bashes were spine-tingling affairs . . ."

"A great series which I never had the time to really get into while the show was shown on television. I've been working on finishing this 10 disc set since Aug of this year. So far so good."
The Black Dahlia

"The Black Dahlia murder of 1947 is one of the most enduring unsolved mysteries of all time. It has all the elements of the grittiest pulp fiction: Tinseltown dreams, strange starlets, mannish molls, nouveau riche Hollywood royalty, and a murder so gruesome the gory details still resonate today. This big-screen adaptation of James Ellroy's hard-boiled mystery has a hard time boiling down all the..."
About the Author Harry Taylor

"Harry Taylor is the author of the three R’s. As yet his ‘wee story’ as he fondly calls it, is not a best seller, but who knows! Translation into other languages is a strong possibility. He graduated in Manchester, England and spent the early years of his working life in the UK. In the mid seventies he began working in the Middle East where he since spent many years."

A Sight for Sore Eyes: Ruth Rendell: Books
1 recommendation
"This isn't really a murder mystery, although there are a couple of murders. It is really a character study - and a good one. It has all of Rendell's usual creepy atmosphere and a little extra misdirection is thrown in as well. A good beach read."
Malarkey: Sheila Simonson: Books

"This is the fifth of the Lark Dodge mysteries. In this installment Lark is taking her Dad to Ireland for a working vacation. He is supposed to stay relaxed because his health isn't good. Staying relaxed becomes hard to do when his daughter trips over a dead body in the shed of the cottage they are renting. A pleasant read."
A Royal Pain (A Royal Spyness Mystery): Rhys Bowen: Books
1 recommendation
"This is the second in Bowen's new murder mystery series featuring Georgia Rannoch. Set in London between The Wars, this book has Georgie still struggling to maintain herself without an allowance and in the manner befitting a cousin of the Queen. The royal relative complicates that task by sticking Georgie with a foreign princess who isn't exactly fairytale material. A great, fast read."
Her Royal Spyness (A Royal Spyness Mystery): Rhys Bowen: Books

"Lightning strikes 3 times! Bowen already invented the detectives Molly Murphy & Constable Evans. Now she has invented the wondeful Georgie Rannoch. Set in London between The Wars, this first in a new series will have Bowen fans screaming for more. If you like Dorothy Sayers, give this book a try."
