Nubia

I'd picked up "The Last of the Nuba", a heavy volume of Leni Riefenstahl's photographs Nubian, Dinka, Shilluk, and Masai while in art school. Each image was so beautiful, powerful, and overwhelming that I could only study one image during each sitting. Before "The Last of the Nuba" I found it imposs...moreible to find any books which presented photographs of African customs, environment, and adornment which such grace, detail, and respect.
